- February-born much like the illustrious Abe Lincoln, George Washington, Albert Einstein and Jules Verne, and like my beloved Dad Amos and Mom Florentina. Passed CPA right after college on first try. Passed the Certified Internal Auditor exam in CA. Holder of a Certified Government Financial Manager certification. Practiced public accounting in one of the biggest CPA firms in Asia and the world for five years. Worked as Deputy Internal Auditor for a big San Francisco Bay area city. Holder of a BA in Business (A minus average). Finished the academics for an MBA Finance from DeLa Salle University (DLSU). Blessed with a beautiful, God-fearing wife Elvie whom I met while auditing one of my first audit clients (nee Elvira Reyes Bautista, B.S. Economics/English, cum laude, UST; and B.S. Human Res., USF, San Francisco). Blessed with two bright, God-fearing and loving kids- Christie (U.C. Berkeley 1998) and Emmanuel David (U.C. Berkeley 2009), and a bright, good-looking, kind-hearted, Christian son-in-law, Brian; and with the precious, God-given jewel of the family, Anna Elise, who metamorphosed Elvie and me into the ennobling and life-changing roles of Grandma and Grandpa

Thanks Christie for strongly recommending that I open up my own blog space, and for actually spearheading its coming into a reality. Now I can freely exercise (and satisfy) my prodigious (and seemingly insatiable) propensity to write, write, write ... escribir, escribir (como se dice en Madrid y Sud America). Pops Elmer
ReplyDeleteThanks for those who commented I look good on the pic that shows upfront .... although that actually was shot some forty years ago when I was just starting my college studies. Yes, we see some resemblance to Jawo huh? (Jaworski - Robert, not Leon). That's why I kinda like it. Of course the similitude stops there and should not include (I wish) the velocity at which he was losing - or lost? - his top. Yes, I will surely replace this pic with a more recent one. Thanks for all your comments.
